Gratitude is one of the most compelling emotions that directly influence the quality of our lives. Gratitude practice is one of the most powerful mind, perspective and mood shifters.

Often used in coaching, it makes us focus on the positive, on all those good things in life that we take for granted every day. It makes us happier and it has the power to bring out the best in those around us.

I believe that gratitude practice also keeps us more grounded and humble, it brings out a different perspective on what truly matters. It is one of the ways to minimize the lows in our lives, to reduce stress and boost energy.

Gratitude doesn’t necessarily come easy, because life circumstances are not always easy. Unfortunately, it is more natural to complain, criticize, to see the obstacles and to point out all the negatives around us. However, the truth remains that our thoughts and emotions create our world. And we have control over these.

So, I choose to be positive and happy, resilient, energetic and healthy – all of which are the pleasant side effects of gratitude practice. I want to remind myself of all the incredible things around me that I’m able to experience and do and feel and see. And I want to appreciate them. That’s why I choose gratitude.
