There are many definitions of coaching, but in its simplest form coaching really is a process that carries people from where they are to where they want to be.
When we think of leaders, teams and organizations, we truly believe that coaching is a fundamental tool for superior performance and effective change.
The role of a coach is to listen, motivate, push the boundaries, hold coachees accountable, give honest feedback and perspective and expand coachee’s comfort zone. Coaching is solution and future-focused, client-centered and action-oriented. We believe that in order to become a superior performer, coaching is essential.
As a famous American football coach Tom Landry once said:
“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you always known you could be.”
